Ellabells,
We had such a fun day celebrating your magical birthday at Disneyland! You truly believe that it's the happiest place on earth. You had many of your closest friends join you for a morning breakfast with Minnie Mouse and it was the highlight of the day. You got to spend time going on all of your favorite rides and it's always a special treat when we have your Daddy there with us. I still can't fathom that you are four years old and it feels like time has just slipped away. I am so unbelievably proud of the young girl that you've blossomed into but, at the same time, it's also bittersweet because I so miss the days you would pull my head towards yours (with your mouth wide open) to kiss me as a baby.
Everyone I know always comments on how kind, beautiful, sensitive and caring you are. You are so great with all of your peers and the first to share a toy or offer a helping hand. To say that you are my pride and joy would be an understatement. You love to practice your letters and write your name. You now spell your first name perfectly (starting with an uppercase letter) and love teaching Elise her shapes and colors. You are the best big sister on the planet and assist me in feeding the baby and even changing diapers. I think that imaginative play is your absolute favorite and you know exactly what everyone's role is and expect them to act it out correctly and to your high standards :) You've recently become overprotective of your iPad and argue that Elise always turns off your shows if you attempt to share. Once in a while, you will have bad dreams so we've been reading a story at night about what to do when you feel afraid and I'm relieved that it has actually made a positive impact and you seem to be using the strategies that we read about. You adore your family and extended family and have some amazing "best" friends. Four years came way too fast, but I've enjoyed every single moment with you!
Forever & Always,
Mommy
