Baby girl, we had such a blast at your first (10 month :) birthday party. Everyone thought I was a little nuts, but who could resist throwing a party at the beach?! The day started off with dark gray clouds and pouring rain, I was so bummed because I had put so much time and effort into every little detail. Thank goodness we had your Dad and Aunt Chelsea to help in the morning and by noon it was starting to clear. By the time my family arrived, it was almost sunny! We were SO incredibly lucky! We really did get to party like rock stars (Aunt Chelsea even sang to you privately!) and you were the perfect shining star, enjoying every little minute. You can be very shy but you loved being the center of attention. You were squealing and laughing when everyone sang to you and you smashed the miniature cake like it was nobody's business! The party ended up going pretty late so we opened your gifts the next morning. You were hesitant to start the unwrapping process but, once sister Ella started picking up your slack, you were all in and loving every second. The adults sure had a blast too (the keg assisted with that :) and I think we ended up with more sand in the house than outside on the beach. We had a little scare when Luke's Aunt Karen fainted but, other than that, everything went really smoothly. I love nothing more than to be surrounded by all of the people that we love and I'm pretty confident that you feel the same way.
At 10 months you were crawling everywhere so it was fun to follow behind you as you cover yourself head to toe in sand. You love to follow your sister and scream Dada when Daddy enters the room.
Leese, you are our world and we fall more and more in love with you every single day!!!
