Christmas time is always a little crazy but magical at the same time! Girls, we had such a blast decorating the house and the tree. You each meticulously picked out one ornament at a time to hang. Ella, you would get super frustrated when Elise would start to pull off the ornaments that hung low to play with :) We visited Disney, Santa at the mall, and Mimi and Aunt Kiki took Ella to Irvine Park when poor Elise got super sick. We have been sick on and off all month and even in Hawaii. We decided to take a leap of faith this year and, since I can't take more than 4 consecutive days off from school, we went to Oahu to celebrate Christmas. Elise was super sick and slept the entire flight in my lap which made my day! I loved the endless snuggles. We had one really great day when we visited Sea Life Park and got to swim with the dolphins. It was extraordinary! Ella, you were ecstatic to see the dolphins but, as we entered the cold ocean water (they pump it into the dolphin tank), you decided to tell me that you changed your mind and that guinea pigs were your new favorite animal. Elise, you were understandably skeptical, but I think your tears were from the cold water and life jacket and not fear of the animals. We tried to make the best of the days that followed but we all got so sick that getting out of bed was a huge accomplishment. At least we made it to Turtle Bay every day to lounge and Daddy was still able to surf Pipeline. Christmas day was spent by the pool so it wasn't a complete loss. We definitely need to go back though to have a re-do! Love you both to the ends of the earth and making memories with you is pure magic!
