Who Does Baby Look Like?

Baby Ella pulling her thumb out of her mouth :)
Little Ella's squished face :)

Baby Lukey :)

Chubby Baby Luke!

Baby Jenny- the yellow blanket in this picture was wrapped around me when I came home from the hospital and I'm going to wrap little Ella in it too :)

Jenny & Johnny

We had our 3D/4D Ultrasound yesterday and it was absolutely incredible. Even though the baby is squished and somewhat creepy looking, you fall in love instantly. The moment they projected her face up on the giant screen I could feel my eyes well up with tears. Such an emotional experience! It's amazing what a miracle creating this little life is. Luke and I were lucky enough to have my grandma and sister with us to share in the experience. It was an extra special experience for my grandma, because having had 5 baby boys 50 years ago, she had never seen anything like this. We couldn't stop talking about how far technology had come. My grandma had a lot of issues with her pregnancies. She lost little Charlie at 7 months due to placenta previa and abrupta and it's amazing because today they would have spotted this immediately and addressed it, most likely, without complications.
Afterwards we went to brunch and couldn't stop looking at the pictures. It's funny because Luke and I kept saying, "Oh, she definitely has your lips" or "That's totally your nose" when really, she could come out looking completely different. It's fun to play that game anyways.
So far, the pregnancy has been going really well. I feel really good, still uncomfortable at times & growing by the day, but the excitement of picturing life with Ella consumes me. I can't believe she'll be here in 3 months. We just had our doctor's appointment on Thursday and I asked about getting induced (if I can deliver vaginally of course). Apparently Hoag doesn't allow this until I'm a week past due. What, what?!!!! They won't induce me until June 18th which is not good considering our high school reunion is June 17th and I really want to go! Ella, please come early for mommy :) We have our final ultrasound April 15th which will be really important because we'll find out if the placenta has moved up at all and the position of the baby. Can't wait!

Katie's Hot New Dark Hair :)
